- What is an ITM?
ITM stands for Interactive Teller Machine and are advanced banking kiosks that allow you to conduct a wide range of transactions with the assistance of a live teller via video chat. This innovative technology brings the branch experience to you, providing personalized service without the need to visit a traditional branch.
- What types of transactions can I complete at an Essential ITM?
- Deposits (Cash and Checks)
- Withdrawals
- Cash checks
- Loan Payments
- Internal Account Transfers

- Balance Inquiries
- Will I need to present identification when using the ITM?
Yes, you will need a current Driver’s License or State Issued ID Card.
- Will I need to complete a transaction request form for ITM transactions?
No, transaction forms are not needed with interactive teller transactions. It’s one of the ways ITMs save you time!
- Which branches will have ITMs?
Essential ITMs are currently located at our Towne Center and Siegen Branch locations. Eventually this new technology will be available at all Essential Branch locations.
- Are the ITMs secure?
ITM transactions are as secure as walking into a branch and speaking with a teller. Just like in a branch, we require identification, and all transactions are recorded.
- What if I want additional privacy because I do not want others listening to my conversation?
For added privacy, the ITM will allow you to pick up a built-in handset for your conversation with the Video Teller. If you remain concerned about privacy, you can privately chat with the Live Remote Teller using the touch screen keyboard.
- Why is Essential moving to ITMs?
We want to provide our members with greater convenience while incorporating innovative technology. Our ITMs will allow us to serve you more efficiently, while continuing to provide personable and exceptional service.
- Will ITMs replace people?
No, when you use an Essential ITM, you are served by an Essential Live Remote Teller working from a centralized location in Baton Rouge. You can still see them and talk to them onscreen just as you normally would at the branch location.
- Are you closing the branch? Can I still go to the branch if I choose?
No. We are not closing any branches!
Yes, you can visit our branches anytime during regular business hours. Our friendly employees will remain in all locations to help you, whether you need assistance using the ITM, need to open an account or apply for a loan, our team is here for you!
