How to Set Up Direct Deposit

Option 1: Set up online through the Social Security Administration

Visit ssa.gov/myaccount.
Log in or create your mySocialSecurity account.
Choose “Direct Deposit” and enter your Essential Credit Union account information.

Option 2: Call Social Security

Call the Treasury’s Electronic Payment Solution Center at 1-800-333-1795 and provide your Essential account details.

Option 3: Complete the Direct Deposit Form (FS Form 1200)

Download a FS Form 1200 from the U.S. Treasury’s website.
Fill out your personal information.
Complete the Financial Institution section with your routing and account details.
Mail the form or take it to your local Social Security office to finish your enrollment.
