Starting May 1, 2025, your mortgage loan servicing will transition from Essential Credit Union to our dedicated mortgage servicing team, Essential Credit Union Mortgage Servicing Department. This is only a servicing change—your loan is not being sold, and your loan terms and conditions remain the same.

• Why am I receiving a Transfer of Service letter?
  

  Essential Credit Union has centralized their Servicing Department to upgrade your member service experience. This change aims to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and provide you with more consistent and reliable support. By consolidating services, we can better address your needs and ensure a higher quality of service. Please be assured that this transition is designed to benefit you, and we are committed to making it as smooth as possible.

• How can I contact the Mortgage Servicing Department to get information concerning my mortgage account?

• Will my mortgage loan number change?
  

  Yes, you will be assigned a new loan number. The new loan number is indicated on the Notice of Assignment, Sale or Transfer of Servicing Rights letter that members received along with this letter. Your new loan number is located at the top of the letter.

• Will any of the terms of my mortgage change?
  

  No, the mortgage will continue to be serviced under the original and/or current terms.

• Do I need to change the Mortgagee Clause on my Homeowner Insurance Policy?
  

  Yes, you do. Please reach out to your insurance agent and provide them with a copy of the policy effective
  May 1, 2025. You can send the policy copy to info@myinsuranceinfo.com, fax it to 866.319.1597, or mail it to
  the address below. Ensure that the Mortgagee Clause on your policy reads as follows:

• My payment is currently deducted from my account automatically. What do I need to do to continue automatic payments?
  

  Essential Credit Union’s Mortgage Servicing Department offers the ability to have your monthly payments taken directly from your account via ACH. Included with this letter is a form that must be completed if you wish to sign up for this service. Upon transfer, all prior automatic deductions set up with Essential Credit Union will be stopped.

  If you wish to continue automatic payment deductions, complete the ACH form enclosed with your Transfer of Service Letter and return to the Mortgage Servicing Department, or the ACH form can be completed online starting May 5, 2025 at www.essentialcu.org.

• Can I make my payment online?
  

  A payment can be processed online by logging onto www.essentialcu.org or on your Essential Mobile App. Your mortgage will be listed under the My Accounts section. Simply click on your mortgage; you will then be able to make payments, view mortgage history, and much more. You can make your payment after May 5, 2025.

  If you are a first-time user of Online Banking, please enroll and enjoy the benefits of managing your Essential Accounts. You can also download the Essential App at Apple Store or Google Play.

• Where should I begin mailing my payments?
  

  Effective with your May 1, 2025, the new payment mailing address is:

• Can I still make my mortgage payment at my local branch location?
  

  Yes, payments will continue to be accepted at any branch location.

• Can I make my payment over the phone?
  

  Starting May 1, 2025, you can process a payment over the phone by speaking with our Mortgage Servicing team or by using the Automatic Phone Payment System. When you call 888.650.5329, please have the following information available: Loan Number, ABA/Routing Number, Checking or Savings Account Number, Debit Card, and the amount of your payment (fees may apply)
  
  

• At the end of 2025, will I receive more than one mortgage tax and interest statement (Form 1098)?
  

  Yes, Essential Credit Union will supply you with a 1098 statement from beginning of year January 1, 2025, to April 30, 2025. Essential Credit Union’s Mortgage Servicing Department will supply you with a 1098 statement from May 1, 2025, to end of year December 31, 2025.

• What are the hours of operation?
  

  Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM EST.

• My payment is currently made through a Bill Pay service. What do I need to do?
  

  Update your Bill Pay Service with your new loan number and the new payment mailing address so your payment is credited appropriately, and without delay.

• How can I get a copy of an old statement that was generated prior to the servicing transfer?
  

  Contact Essential Credit Union for statements before April 30, 2025, at 888.369.2207. Contact the Essential Credit Union Mortgage Servicing Department for statements after May 1, 2025, at 888.650.5329.

• What if I don’t receive my June mortgage statement?
  

  Essential Credit Union’s Mortgage Servicing Department generates monthly Mortgage Statements on or before the tenth of each month. If you do not receive your monthly statement for June, please call us at 888.650.5329, or email us at servicing@mtgservicedept.com.
